Revolution Must Be Democratic

No Revolution in America has ever worked. Nor anywhere else in the world. An example would be to see how many Communist Revolutions have betrayed Marxism and principles of their own Credos. Thus human rights abuses followed John F Kennedy once said, “Where peaceful revolutions fail, violent revolution become inevitable.

I have noticed in many Socialist groups, it is difficult to be a member because, even here fellow socialists are not true to form, do not even fulfill nor exemplify there ideals. Many think many people take orders. The narcissism of dreamers runs high.

The problem of what revolutionaries fail to realize her in the USA is that there is an over abundance of the Powerful. And the Powerful are just that POWERFUL. The powerful in America are dangerous, yet they have all the control. I seen for many years people have started groups, organizations, and varied parties to take on Capitalism. None have worked. People in general do not care, are apathetic, or addicted to the two party system. As a distraction to Socialism, The Green Party was conceived/

One best answer almost worked

The Socialist Party in America was born and grew dramatically between 1900 and 1912. Under the charismatic leadership of Eugene V. Debs in 1912, 160 councilmen, 145 aldermen, one congressman, and 56 mayors, including Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Berkeley, California, and Schenectady, New York, were elected as Socialists. At the time, Socialists published 300 newspapers, including the Appeal of Reason, which was a Kansas-based publication with 700,000 subscribers. Membership in the Socialist Party totaled 125,000.

Socialism has changed since the break in the early 20th Century when the Labor Party split from the SPA. The Old Guard was more true to form.

But it had gotten worse from the 1960s. When I attended the Socialist Party USA convention in Newark NJ, I felt deep remorse and shame at Party members. It wasn’t about the people, it was about philosophical debate, ego, and delays, not moving forward, zero strategy. The real revolution was out in the Street The people who had sad stories about health care, homelessness, the hungry, and labor issues. I left with contempt for those people who where bantering about nothing.

Todays Socialist is a philosopher and dreamer. There is no sincere effort towards change. It could be admitted, Socialist International Parties have had their failures. They should listen to their leftist counter parts. Though they have achieved quite a bit.

But the other Socialisms have failed miserabley it context that they have not been able to score large numbers with the people, nor are they acceptable. Now the Occupied movement is world wide and the Revolution is slow to take off. Occupied has no clear direction, nor strategy, an story.

Taking on a Socialist Revolutionary Party, or some hardcore Leftist groups is like trading off one 1% for another. Not a shred of Democratic thinking.

Since Socialism and Democracy is suppose be be ideologies hand in hand, that sense is marred by the desire for government control.

Real Socialism as it should be has Deb’s vision of liberty and freedom, with a true democracy. No one owns socialism and can say who is and isn’t a socialist.

Socialism and Democracy is committed to showing the continuing relevance of socialist politics and vision. Socialism and Democracy brings together the worlds of labor and activism manifesting as a existent force.

Democratic Socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social justice and democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives.

Developing alternative economies, living wage, war on poverty, the liberty to be who we are and effect our lives and mold and shape our goals so each individual can fool full their desires and be who they are. Every individual will be free to pursue their lives and effect their individuality.
